Meet Dr. Meghan Teske
Serving the Upstate of South Carolina
Dr. Meghan Teske was born and raised in Rockford, IL. Growing up, she was very active in sports, playing basketball, volleyball, soccer, and track. As you could imagine, Dr. Teske experienced the occasional hit, bump, or fall every now and then as she played. Though Dr. Teske was not familiar with chiropractic at that time, she wishes she was! It was many years later, when she was 23, that she received her first chiropractic adjustment. Ever since she started care, she could not imagine her life without it! Not only did it help with old sports injuries, but also it resolved the migraines Dr. Teske had been experiencing since she was a teenager. Chiropractic has kept her moving and feeling good ever since Day One!
For her undergraduate studies, Dr. Teske attended The University of Iowa where she achieved her Bachelor’s in Health and Human Physiology and minored in Global Health Studies. It was after graduation that Dr. Teske had discovered her passion for chiropractic while working for two chiropractic offices. She got her start as a Chiropractic Technician at Chiro One Wellness Centers in the Chicago Suburbs and later, she continued to her chiropractic journey as Chiropractic Technician at Monson Chiropractic Clinic in her hometown of Rockford. During her time at these offices, Dr. Teske witnessed patients constantly achieve better health and live better lives because of it. After a year and a half of witnessing chiropractic miracles by her mentors, Dr. Teske decided it was time to become a chiropractor herself. She decided to go to Life University in Marietta, GA, where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, graduating magna cum laude in 2018.
While at Life University, Dr. Teske was very active in Gonstead Club as a certified club officer. As an officer, she taught hundreds of students about the Gonstead technique and system of analysis. In addition to her time in club and her schoolwork, Dr. Teske completed over 375 seminar hours on pediatric care, the Gonstead Technique, and extremity adjusting. Dr. Teske is also certified in the Webster technique, which benefits pregnant woman by helping them to have more comfortable and heathier births. Additionally, she is in the process of obtaining her pediatrics certification (CACCP) through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
After Graduating from Life, Dr. Teske came back to Rockford to return to work for Dr. Monson as his associate chiropractor. Since she has started practice, she has helped hundreds of patients lead healthier lives. There is nothing more rewarding for Dr. Teske than witnessing her patients get better. Though she misses being home, she is excited to be back in the south and to be avoiding the Midwestern winters! When she is not at work, she loves to go on hikes with her dog, Archie, being outside, and relaxing with friends and family.
